This is one of the few existing legit Tasmanian Tiger prints in situ that we are aware of.It was found in Augusta`s Jewel cave by scientists who were gathering water samples in the western australian cave complex.
The amazing find occurred in about 1990.Lindsay Hatcher who made the discovery also said that they had found the bones of a tasmanian tiger right next to the prints and that the scientists were reluctant to try and take any form of plaster casting due to the chance of damaging the print.
The thylacine was believed to be extinct on the mainland for several thousand years and the last one in captivity died in 1936.source
